    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a digital potentiometer (programmable) which allows single step increase of resistance from 1K to 10K ohm. By single step i mean, 1K - 2K - 3K .... It is my first time working with potentiometers. It would be great if someone helps me out!

    Thank you.
    Naila x

What do you need help with? There isn't a single question mark in your OP.

Time to rethink your strategy.. 10-TAP digital pots don't seem to exist.

Just thought of it. If you want 1k steps, get a 100kΩ digital pot with 100 steps.

He didn't ask a question. He told us he was looking for something and some further particulars about it. He also told us it would be great if someone helped him out. It was implied that the help he needed was in finding what he mentioned he was looking for. It was pretty clear to me anyway, at least that was what I inferred.:)

Perhaps the OP meant to ask how to interface to the digital pot with those specifications... it doesn't take much to infer the wrong information...

I'm not sure what you mean. Did I disagree?

It can also be the name of a town.

I know a man named Beverly. although one normally associates that name with a woman, and I know several women name Michael.

I said I thought it most likely that the name Naila was that of a she, not a he. What more would you like?

A nice espresso would be great, with just a dash of sugar. :) Thanks. You're so nice for asking! :)

There are different types of digital pots.
There are some with up/down inputs.
Then there are serial protocol input pots, these are more complicated and really need a microcontroller to control them.

I sent one to you, but the post office said it froze and got stuck in one of their sorting machines. I'll try to re-send in the summer.
