I'm looking for a 10k linear digital pot that is suited for audio and can operate at 9v, or at least control 9v... By any chance does anything like that exist? I am having a lot of trouble finding ways to control a 9v audio circuit digitally. Optoisolators leave me with very finicky outputs and don't have a wiper like a pot does.

Since hearing is not linear, most audio potentiometers are logarithmic.

However, both Linear and Logarithmic digital potentiometers are available.

Mouser Search The most commonly used ones I've seen have been from Maxim/Dallas Semiconductor.
