I used the Microchip AN-939 datasheet to connect the digital meter circuit which can be found here :

    http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00939a.pdf

    (i used 16F876A instead of 16F873A)

Microchip added a code which calculates the energy and displays it at the LCD, the code can be found here:

    http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1824&appnote=en022083

the problem is that this code is in assembly, and i don't get the code functions properly since its huge !! Can someone please either explain the code functions, or write me a C based code...i would really appreciate it

    Thanks again :)

ok my request seemed to be hard a bit...well i wanna ask another simple question:

I downloaded the firmware from Microchip http://www.microchip.com/stellent/id...pnote=en022083 and it only got one .hex file called RTC.hex although the file includes many .asm files so do you think that this .hex file contains all the software needed? and no need to rearrange them?
