Hi,

I need to know how to convert the voltage output from a load cell sensor to digital display as force or weight. I know I need to use an IC, but I need information on what type of IC to use and also need the circuit associated with producing this display.

thanks

What display will you like to use?
It will be easy with a bar led display. Just use an amplifier to amplify the signal form the cell and then use a LM3519 bar graph driver to show the level of the voltage.

The simplest method is to obtain a panel meter for the display. With that, an instrumentation amp can amplify the signal so it is scaled into engineering units.

I had no particular requirements for the display. So I will consider your suggestion about using the LM3519.

But can you explain for me how to use it. In other words, the 2mV output from the load cell is fed to the LM3519 directly and it displays the force automatically or I have to add certain components?
