Cutters clip the bottom out easily. Use any flux for leaded, 60/40 plain solder. Clean up by brushing residues with alcohol when done and absorb with paper tissue.

Does not matter if solder bridges short the pins. Briefly apply fine desoldering braid and they become neat instantly.

Practice finally makes it :)

Oh so you don't put the bottom plate back in after soldering?

I used a Dremel tool with a hair thin drilling bit to drill out the solder in a through hole , it works really good

And the solder sucket notch tip was a good idea too , i did that
