The popular Torrent site called demonoid and a couple others were subject to a massive hack attack 2 weeks ago. Once they almost fixed it the Chek police swooped in the copied their HD's and data as a gift for the US even though demonoid had broken no rules there and was not viewable in that country. After the iphone slip up and raiding engagenets computers with APPL's secret police do you think out LEO, Corps and Gov are all getting too friendly?

Something like that. We spell it differently. Damn English language and its quadruple meanings.

So are you saying that Demonoid was not distributing IP without permission of its owners?

No I'm sure they sold them to PPC companies and dumb stuff for small cash which is a far cry from the secret police raiding the server copying all the files, then sealing them and giving them to the US embassy. As far as IP I dunno most everything I got was free abandonware. Old drivers, old OS's that you couldn't find anymore, hell megaupload destroyed the case against them. This is basically just a strong arm tactic because Demonoid had cound legal loopholes. Also about the IP it doesn't matter because they were within the laws of the country they were in. Chezk police raided and copied the info then just gave it away because there was nothing more for them to do, in their country it was a legal operation. You figure if gov's are gonna go this far why aren't they busting the kiddy porn sites that are legal in parts of EU?
