I am wondering if there is any other standard phone number services other then

    411 , *69 , 911 , 0 # operator ...etc, etc

And where these calls get taken care of because these are not vailded 7 digit numbers...

So they must be setup at the local first hop station to route / forward to another places....

I think they have to be gov sponsored. Down here we have the call before you dig hotline of 3-1-1. And you give em your address and they tell you if you have any gas lines to worry about and if you do they come mark em for you. I think its also drainage lines too. As far as 1800 numbers I've seen the following if your trying to create a alphenumaeric number for your biz.
    1800
    1877
    1866
    1855
and I'm sure more are coming. But to buy them you must find the company who owns themsince the telecom industry buys the numbers 10,000 at a time. Many reputable places willl now let you pick you number so you can match it to what you want or pick an easy one which is what I did. In Letters it would be (HAC)CHD-HDII
