this is the schematic of a hydraulic system i am trying to control. The trigger (top right, potiniometer) goes
down to the board(upper left)(on-off switch and proportionary valve)12 volt dc goes to trigger(potentiometer) goes back to board then adjusted voltage to proportionary valve .board is no longer available so i wanted to put an adjustable dc-dc board to control the dc voltage at the proportionary valve.any help would be appreciated upload_2015-1-15_19-14-28.png

If you just want manual control of the valve by pot, you could look one of the power op amps OPA569 for e.g., depends on what the current is required for the valve.

Looking at the diagram again it does seem that the original was single direction control?
The unit may work for you, only cost $5.oo to find out.
