Hello all. I removed a motor from an HP printer deskjet 640C. The motor is a johnson dc motor C6464-60002 and i cannot find its datasheet. Could anyone help me?
In this ad it looks like a normal 2-wire brushed DC motor.
The diameter is ~35mm. Johnson Electric have a range in that size. Those listed as used for 'carriages' and 'paper feeds' have voltage ratings from 18V-24V.
For sure.
To find out the operating voltage if unknown, run it up using a variable DC supply to ~3krpm and this should approximate the max. supply voltage.
You can get an idea of maximum torque from the size and the task it was performing in the printer.
What task do you have it intended for?
Max.
