I am trying to realize the boost regulator circuit in hardware. i have attached the circuit design. i have also run the simulation of this circuit in matlab-simulink. now i need help in choosing the components of the circuit-mosfet and diode. which brand is best for my application?

1. mosfet-20kHz, 60V, 8A
2. diode-60V, 8A
3.L-612uH
4.C-108uF

also suggest which brands will be available in the market?

what protection circuit can i use for the components in the circuit?

your output current is too high (8A)...is it really what u want???
if not...increase the load resistance so as to get the desired output current. This will even help in reduction in ripples in your output.

I had designed a flyback converter ...in which i used the following devices...
Mosfet-IRF740
Diode-In5059
switching control using -UC3526 (for feedback)

 

Go on the website of a component distributor company like RS, DigiKey, Farnell etc and find what you need.

thank you very much for replying.
my output current is not 8A. my converter is designed for a 50W application at 24V. my source is gonna be a PV array at 12V and 3.9A. I have mentioned the mosfet and diode ratings by multiplying the source current by a factor 2.

pls suggest for this application.
