    Hello Guys

I am having a question about a D-type flip flop synchronize counter. In that circuit, the output Q-bar is connecting to the input D. And it will toggle between 1 and 0. So, do we start from 0 or 1?

    Question:
If we want to count in binary, start with "000", how could we ensure the least significant digit is always start from 0?

What do you think about using one of those to start the FF's at zero?

If you want it to start at 000 you need to reset all the FF's, not just the first.

I see now where I should have used the phrase "one of those signals" (set or reset).

I was hoping for an "ah ha" moment from the OP when they mentioned those two inputs.
