    Hi
    I'm design a DC-DC cuk converter,step down from 17 volts to 4.2 volts.This is a renewable energy application.
I can't find useful derivations on the net to derive the capacitance and inductance values so am kind of stuck.
Also ripple voltages and current need to be small,I just need a link to the equations and derivation

I know what a CUK converter is, I also know almost nobody uses it because it is not practical compared to a standard buck in your case. If you want efficinet conversion 17V - 4V, use a sync rec buck converter.
