Hey everyone,

I have a transistor broken from a PCB labeled as SS8050 D331. From what i could find, this is the datasheet: http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/SS/SS8050.pdf
I would like to get this repaired asap but when i check the local shops they say they don't have it and cant find a cross for it either. Would any one be able to find me a cross so i could find it locally if possible instead of waiting and paying so much for shipping.

Thanks

There are some alternatives shown here. Personally, I'd just get used to not relying on local shops. I basically don't have any local shops any more.

Wow thanks. How did i miss that site. So looks like any of this will work: MPS650...651, 2SD1207, 2SD1227, 2SD1331, correct?

Yeah local shops either don't have the knowledge anymore and they just don't carry all that stock anymore. We do have a very big electronics place locally but the staff is not knowledgeable and they just didn't help. But i figure if i could find a cross then i might just go back in and scan the wall myself and if not i'll just have to order online.

These transistors are specially used for little high current, Max rated 800mA. There was a 120mA constant current regulator and I used many transistors on that to test its 'heat' passing 120mA current through CE. BC547B are rated Max. 100mA. But I got same heat passing 120mA through BC547B (100mA Max) and got almost same heat using 8050 (800mA). So I think, in most of the circuit, all general purpose transistors would work, except few.

8050 is probably one of the most prevalent RF small signal bjts. A dollar will get you a hundred or so.

Unless your circuit uses some unique characteristics of the device, any small signal bjts will do.

I have these shipping charge is USD 4 flat no matter how many item.

I sell 50pcs as item. Transistor kits are available too and can be customized most small transistors have same price.
