Looking for a tool for these.
Just got the tool shown, but it doesn't go large enough.
This one (link) goes to #8 but I'm guessing if it would work.

Just found out what they are called. (open barrel) So I might have more luck now!

 

The MAY be OK for #8, personally I go with that type for up to #10, after that I use the two handed V crimper, this type go's up to also #4 etc.
It depends what range you want to cover?
That looks a little flimsy for 50amps.

I have these open barrel terminals, but have never been able to use them.

I have a hyd. hex crimper for closed barrel. I suppose I could form them around the wire and try it.

May try that if they take returns. Don't want to throw much more money at it.

I'm thinking the #8 die should fit, and the #6 will do the insulation.

Terminals are bigger than they look. I thought the #10 die would work, but it's too small.

#10 is largest I see on the link.

Oh well, I'm all set now for up to #10 Andersons power poles. 45 series.
