I have a cricut (belongs to the misses), A cricut is a cutter that crafters use to cut shapes out of paper.

Basicly the electro magnet fails, i have tested the voltage out from main board, alls fine there.

Tested electromagnetic coil and alls fine there, the cable that joins the two is also all fine.

But still fails to operate?

Any ideas?

 

Have you tested the voltage at the coil, with the coil still connected?

How did you test these to determine they are OK?

 

Are you talking about the solenoid that lifts the cutter/knife? How long since you cleaned the solenoid? Little bits of fibers and fuzz can cause the lifting shaft to jam in the solenoid. When moved by hand it seems OK, but the solenoid won't be enough to lift in actual use.
