Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to make a counter that counts pulses on line w and displays the count in the sequence 0, 2, 1, 3, 0, 2...

I know that I can make a D flip flop toggle by connecting the Q' to the D, but I'm not sure how to dictate the display sequence.

Any hints would be appreciated.

 

Have you studied "state machines", "state transition diagrams", and how to implement them yet?

Another question? Can it be a "ripple" counter, or does it have to be a "synchronous" counter?
