    Hi There folks:
First posting. Have been away from electronics projects for years and am interested in getting back in.

The project I have in mind is as follows.

Mercury switch in a 12 VDC circuit which when closed will cause an LED to flash to indicate that the circuit has been closed.

What also is required is to put a counter in the circuit with an LED display that counts and displays the event(s) count and has the ability to be reset back to zero and restart the process.

The 12V is to be pulled from a car lighter.

Help as to parts required. Simple circuit design etc. would be greatly appreciated so that a novice such as myself will be able to put it together.

    Thanks

    ron
