Hello,

Normaly a transformer does not overheat.
You must be demanding to much from the transformer.
Use a larger transformer.

They do overheat, at least larger one's all need forced cooling.

Use a suitable fan. Use a metal box for the transformer, and attach the fan to an opening so the air blows over the transformer.

I have done that with a 500VA toroid, it heats up a lot after 100VA or so.

Without to know wattage and making (picture?), all advice is guesswork.

Hi alfredosimeon,

Welcome to the forum.

You need to provide more details, a schematic diagram etc.

220v transformers may overheat when used on a 240v supply.

How "big" is the LED display, how many leds, supply voltage etc.
