My race bike has a batteryless CDI ignition and I would like to add an aftermarket traction control unit to it. The unit interrupts the signal to the ignition coil, unfortunately it is looking for a 12V square wave signal and the 140V CDI burst will kill it.
Can I convert the CDI pulse to a 12V signal?

I'm sure the restriction also includes motorcycles.

 

Does it interrupt signal or ground it?

Seems manufacturer would have recommendations, as cdi is the norm.
