Controlling solenoid valve

    Folks...Noob here...need help from all your experts out there for a similar setup. I need help with making the connections for controlling a normally closed 12VDC solenoid pinch valve using a DAQ Card with Digital Output (NI USB 6009), SSR (LCA 710) and a DC power supply [ZP40-51212N]. The SSR has 6 pins (3 on each side). Can someone tell me what should I connect on the control side and the load side. Thank you very much.

    I'm not familiar with the DAQ card but I did recently do a project where I'm controlling a 12VDC solenoid valve from a PIC microcontroller. I'm driving the PIC with a digital MOSFET and it works very well.

    Here's the mosfet I'm using:

    Just don't forget to put a flyback diode across the coils.

    Here's the circuit I used in case it helps. Note that the pin connectors "c1" and "c2" are for a header on my pcb. The solenoid has a female header that plugs in here.

    Why do you need the SSR?
