Thanks for those links. Very nice. I will hang on to those for later. But for this project, I think I'm going to stick to NTSC because it's easier to find pre-made, mid-sized, cheap LCDs displays that have NTSC; this is not the case with VGA.
However if I was trying to do this with larger screens, I'd use VGA, because I have a source of used PC LCD Monitors cheap. I've got 30 or 40 15"-19" (mostly 15", a number of 17", couple 18" and a couple 19") LCDs sitting in my shop waiting for a use.
In case anyone is wondering, the document I was referring to when I said I had a thorough document is the AVR341 Application Note.
But don't let me get the thread off-topic. The more NTSC info the better!
