A simple question i guess. Suppose I am using the motor drive L298. I always connect the Enable pin to a 5v supply and not the the pwm pin of the microcontroller and connects the pwm pin to my input pin in the bridge IC and that's to use less pin from the microcontroller.
My question.
Why do I always find in other schematics that the one pin from the uc is connected to the input pin of the bridge while the PWM pin from the uc is connected to the enable pin ?
Why do I just connect the enable to 5v and connect the uc's pwm pin to the input pin of the bridge ?
Does it differs ?
Thanks in advance
