i thought of double pair of complementary fets to be able to get/ident the regulator drawing less/more power
not necessarily a negative supply
there are higher power regulators available or a schematic for decent custom one likely is more simple
than starting burring components and rising complexity of paralleling 3 terminals
? perhaps there are avail "3 terminals" with paralleling option pins
(never read the 1-st post properly - just saw a useless schematic of 7805)
