Hi, i am new to this forum and this seemed like the most agreeable place to put this.

i need some help with a project i want to do, being a computer with screens that life out of the desk. but i would like the screens to lift when i have put in the password for my computer.

is there a piece of software that can detect an action from the computer and initiate a signal via USB or similar?

and is this even possible with regards to the circuitry aspect?

i only have a very basic knowledge with circuits and could do with some help. any and all would be appreciated.

If you have no screen initially, when would you know to enter the P.W.?
I would think that an outboard actuator that required a P.W. would be more practical?
