Hi,

I'm just getting into this game with my son and I'm looking for a reliable (and cheap if possible!) components supplier. I did a google and these guys seem prominent -any of them any good?

Help much appreciated,

(asuming you live in the UK)
I'd recommend Rapid Electronics, fairly good range, good prices.
Maplin have a fairly limited range and are expensive.
Bitbox seem to have a tiny range.
RS have a massive range but often you have to buy in large multiples, eg they won't sell SMD resistors apart from in 3000 reels.

I am guessing you are not in the US. By providing your country, we can tell you which suppliers to use and which to avoid.

Also is that Waits as in Tom?

In the US Sparkfun, Digikey, Newark and Mouser all fill the bill. If you will fill in you home country I am sure there will be a plethora of good sources. There is a link on site with a list of suppliers and there locations. Good luck and welcome to a new addiction.
