    Hi all,

I was wondering if there are any go-to vendors, for components more suited to amateur radio? The reason I'm asking is the bigger suppliers like Farnel and Digikey don't seem to stock the bigger variable capacitors, inductors, etc. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places, but are there more specific vendors people use when they want to get a, say, 33pF variable cap?

    Regards,

    Sparky

A good place to pick up RF components and much more is at an Amateur Radio flea market.
So if you happen to be near Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A. on May 16th-18th 2014, the Dayton Hamvention is the place to be.

    Thanks guys,

Yes rallies are always cool. I'm a member of CDARC too. :D

We have a rally in the area about once a year, but it is always the same day as a bagpipe competition. :( I'll keep an ear/eye out for other events.
