I have an old TV with only a coax antenna connection.

Is there a device I can buy or make that would allow me to convert it (the coax) to accept RCA type plugs, White, Red, and Yellow?

I would like to be able to set up my grandson's video game console on that TV?

Thanks,
Gary

Yes, you can buy an RF modulator. The yellow RCA is the baseband video signal, and the red and white RCA are the stereo audio. The modulator will combine these signals into a standard TV signal on a particular channel (maybe channel 3).

Some VCRs have the modulator built in, so you may already have one, or you can buy one at an electronics store. Before you buy one, talk to your friends. Someone you know probably has one that they don't need anymore.
