    what will happen if i short circuit a battery with the help of a non-melting metal or conductor???

    a very heavy current will flow, limited by only the internal resistance of the battery and the external resistance of the conductor. The battery will get very hot and possibly the heat will damage it.

    yes, that is possible too, he didnt mention what type battery he was referring to.
