circuit not functioning

im doing an ultrasonic range meter from this website http://www.hobby-elec.org/e_pic6_6.htm. after finishing the circuit it seems to output is only 0.26 at its seven segment display no matter what i do. i did a pcb board but it seems that ther is no problem with it..but the ultrasonic transcuders im using dont send or receive signals..any ideas what i can do?:(

Do you have any test equipment? You will need to go through the circuit stage-by-stage to find the problem. Do you assemble it as a kit?

i took the circuit information from the above website . I have a logic analyzer, oscilloscope, fuction generator and a digital multimeter.

Did you happen to get the transducers swapped around?

They look nearly identical - except for the part numbers.

Did you read through the theory of operation, and the list of modifications? I don't know if all of the modifications were implemented.

yes i have rechecked the transducers and made sure that im using a pair of transmitter and receiver. most of the modification that were stated was implemented.
il check it again
