I have a Sony KP53S65, and the C514 capacitor is toast! I'm new to this forum, and I've read the posts others have written about how to find and replace this particular bit. But how do you remove the board in order to work on it? I'm not sure how the board to the right of the power supply comes apart, do those four barred wire connectors come apart and if so how?
My bf is pulling his hair out trying to figure this out, and he's pretty electronically savvy! We have it undone and can pull the power supply board up from the three clips at the edge, but it seems to be connected to the next board too.

Trying to break into a device to fix it can be astoundingly difficult, but that's what we do. Sometimes we break it beyond all hope, too!

Try putting some photos here by using the "go advanced" and "manage attachments" options.

I hope this picture shows what I'm talking about! Hopefully someone will be able to explain how these things come apart.

By the way, I am not a quitter even if I'm a woman! LOL! ;) I hope one of you will be able to help me get this board out so I can fix it. I've gone from a 53" t.v. to a 12", and it sucks.
