hi, do you have any suggestions in making a temperature controller for a small chicken incubator? My project is to make any industrial application of the 555 timer and I thought an electornically controlled chicken incubator would be great.
thanks...

If it's just an on-off control, an LM34 and a comparitor IC would be one approach.

We need more details about the project.

Here's a good primer on using the 555 as a duty cycle controller. Also look up web references to "zero crossing controlers". Zero crossing controllers emit less R.F. interference, that will keep your neighbors happy. The chickens probably wouldn't fully appreciate this subtlety, however. :)
