I am in the middle of building a CNC and want to make a panel with volt & amp meter for each stepper so I can keep eye on things. At least I am thinking I want too..after looking around it looks like even off ebay I am looking at 60 - 80 bucks for 5 volt meters and 5 amp meters.. I need 0 - 36V and 0- 20 Amps ruffly.. Any clue what it would cost to make these myself if i got all the parts through mouser ? or what is the best rout here? any advice ? Idea on price for parts to make one?
Thanks Greg

Even if you bought voltmeter modules for $10 each and made your own resistor networks to get the right readings, you still can't beat $60 to $80 for this array of meters.

(Part number of the display modules contains a "7107" if I remember correctly.)

Maybe Electronics Goldmine or other "surplus" dealer?

If you are referring to the LCD/LED display driver, it is the ICL7107 or ICL7106. The 7106 is for LCD and the 7107 is for LED. It is a 3-1/2 digit display driver for volt / amp meters. Fairly easy to set up too.

Datasheet is here...
