Charge Pumping and High-side Switching

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a charge-pump, inductorless DC/DC step-down converter (500+ to 24vdc). Ideally, I'd like a FET controller which works like a half bridge, but can perform high-side switching from both outputs. Since I can't find that flavor of bridge (I'm not sure you would even call that a bridge), I was thinking of cascading a single channel, (high-side) driver (IR2127) to the low-side output of a half-bridge driver (IR21844).

I could simply use two shingle channel drivers, but want to avoid cross conduction during input transitions. The IR21844 has a nice "dead time" feature which I really like and would allow switching to occure with no overlap.

Does anyone have any experience with such a setup?

Thanks in advance.

Mike
