is there a practical way of changing frequency of transmission.
how is it to be achieved. (by transmission i refer to power developed by turbo-generators ~210 MW)

in case someone wants to know why i ask,
a simple impulse turbine without velocity compounding and pressure compounding has a theoretical speed of 30000 rpm.
the book i use does not elaborate abt the practical difficulties of using this
speed so i m guessing apart from mechanical considerations of turbine,
the problems cud be of low current capacity(correct me if i m wrong)
and hi frequency. the former isnt a problem and it can be dealt with a transformer anyways but the frequency is abt 10 times normal (in India we use 50 hz)
