you cant drive a CFL from a battery at least not properly and not with cheap ready made modules.
They are not flat.
They easily break.

Sure, obsolete. But cheaper herein retail shops than LED lamps or bulbs.

 

In my local hardware stores, even name brand LED bulbs are approaching $2. I will never buy another CFL.

I regret having as many as I do in storage. Yeah, they were probably free at Menard's, but still.

Is it the high power ones? Like having equivalent of 100W lumens? For $2?

 

No, the sweet spot pricewise seems to be the ~60W equivalent. The higher lumen ones are still near $10.
