I am wondered about how cash register box automatically opens.

I guess, I will make a cash register box (only the box in a next few weeks or days).

After I done making it, I guess I will call a help to make a table for it.

So, if I ever done all of these, I want my cash register box to automatically opens after I have pressed something (for example switch or push button switch).

What materials are needed?

basically a spring and an electronic solenoid of sorts that functions as a position lock to keep it closed.

 

It might actuallly be easier to do that mechanically, rather than electronically.
Essentially you'll need a spring and a sort of track so the drawer can slide easily, once you get that far it will be easier to see what needs to happen with the locking mechanism.

 

Do you have any copper enameled wire? You can make an electromagnet with it, it is one way (another is to make a solenoid, which is very similar). A large nail wound with copper wire and a battery will make a magnet you can turn on and off.

What do you call guys on the metal of the keyboard board (on the computer set) to make getting the board smooth?
