Cascaded LM78xx Regulators

    I know that the popular mantra is SMPS, but I still use linear regulators. Here is my version of a multiple voltage regulated supply. It's not efficient, but it works, it's adaptable, and it's not noisy.

    I use linears when I can tolerate the wasted power and heat. Any application above 20 - 30W, they are not practical.

    Nice layout. I'm sure you're aware that the 15V regulator has to carry ALL the load currents of all 4 regulators.

    Thank you. Yes, I don't really expect to use the regulators in this configuration, but if I do something similar, I'll keep that in mind. There is room for a small heat sink on the LMxx's.

    I have some 79xx regulators, but I haven't had a need for them yet. I like your PS.
