capacitors and there effect on output frequency

hi ive just conducted a mini test on bread board where i had to measure the frequecy of a a musical toy. n the question posed is
why would chaningin a capacitor from 1micro farad, to 10nano farads effect the output frequency,
im totally confused can someone help, thank you

i already know that capacitors store energy then discharge it, is it that the higher the capacitor size the greater the higher the frequency?

This capacitor charges and discharges continuously (that is how the circuit works). If you want have a look here:

The bigger the value of the capacitor the more time it needs to charge/discharge. Because the output frequency depends on this charge/discharge time, when you put a lower value capacitor it charges/discharges more quickly ans thus the output frequency increases.
