    Hello to All,

Is it appropriate to use 2200uf capacitors as a replacement of 2000uf capacitors ?

Note : The capacitor is to be replaced in an old soviet made Power supply unit.

    Hello,

As long as the voltage of the capacitor is equal or higer rated.
Capacitors can have up to 20 % tolerance.

Check out bertus' cell phone camera ring flash. good idea.

As for the caps, I would agree. the 200uf can be such a small variance that stray capacitance is usually indicative of, so as long as your PCB is well made, you shouldn't notice a difference with a small difference.
