Im recapping a Philips 168 valve Radio and seeing as it is hard to get 2000uf,3v capacitors I'm just wondering if 2200uf,16v will do the job? What do you think, would it be OK? They are, C29 / C30 in schematic.

Hello,

The 2200 μF / 16 Volts capacitors will be fine.
As long as the voltage is higher than the given value it will work.
Electrolitic capacitors can have tolerances upto 20 %, so the little bit higher capacitance is also no problem.

Thanks Bertus,I appreciate your concise reply! I knew I could go up a bit with the voltage but the uf I wasn't too sure about? Now that I look at it in hindsight its just common sense if they have 10% / 50% or what ever tolerance!
