Can't figure out this Unexpected Token, MPlab X & XC8

I have done a hundred programs and never had a problem with simply trying to declare a variable. Now I'm getting this issue and I don't know why. Any thoughts?

Solved this one on my own, forgot to close a #if with an #endif. Caused all kinds of errors. Sorry for the wasted thread.
