If I knew how to get my Canon MF 4150 printer to work with Linux, I'd be there. Problem is I don't know Jack about Linux. I've peeked at it, I like it, I can use it, but adding my printer escapes me. I suppose I could be asking on the right forum instead of this one.

Which is the right forum?

I didn't mention the distro bc I don't know enough about Linux to prefer one. I've looked at Ubuntu, and Mint. Enough to know I can navigate pretty easily in Linux distros, but not enough to know that any one is better than any other one. Wanna recommend one?

For what purpose, you say.

For a dire amateur, one who only uses email, Firefox, and Open Office.
Was that Thunderbird for email? Worked for me.
Windows ppl think I'm smart. Linux ppl don't.

So...thanks for the link. I might install Linux again, and this time get it to do what I need.

Update...I have found sources and I am studying Linux. I believe it is only a matter of time until Microsoft becomes so onerous that I will prefer any way out of using Windows/Vista/whatever their next shoot-themselves-in-the-foot move is.
