Please go through my attachment. It has been mentioned that luminous stream of particles were observed behind the cathode.
Behind the cathode means , Whether right of the cathode or left of the cathode?
    Please help revered members

Take a look. The anode is marked A+. The cathode (perforated) is K, and the fluorescent screen is S. The rays impinging (the particles) on the screen are positively charged.

Thanks for the reply beenthere. So the rays are emanating from the left of cathode and proceeding towards S. Am i right?
