Can someone explain this voltage divider and how to simulate in Spice?

I found this voltage divider. It is a part of this project for a PIC based ammeter.

This is so simple but for some reason I am having trouble envisioning what he is trying to do here.

I realize the two wires going to the top of the page go to the 2 analog inputs of the PIC and the PIC will read the voltage drop across the .47 resistor and calculate the current.

But what I can't figure out is how any voltage appears on the right most analog input.

Why does he label one side input and the other side output?

How would I simulate the whole thing in Spice? If I see it then that will help me to understand better what is going on.

See my post in your other thread - hopefully that will help.

Yep was going to delete my post but I think it is too late. :)

If an admin sees this and wants to delete it that is just fine.
