Building a PC and looking at various switching power supplies, been told these are the ones to look at so I went digging around. I am not after the cheapest one, tried that some years ago and a fire gave me a hard lesson in 'doing things on the cheap'.

These are the ones I have looked at:

http://uk.mouser.com/Power/Linear-Switching-Power-Supplies/_/N-8s82a

Also the delta ones seems fine, http://www.delta.com.tw/product/ps/sps/sps_main.asp has a list.

I am reading over tutorials but would be more confident if I could get a perspective from a builder of pcs. Need specs, I can post the outline.thx.

I get mine from newegg, corsair 600-800W... I wouldn't go cheap on the power supply.

If I could do it again I'd get a modular one, too, with detachable cords.
