Just wondering.

If I had a transformer that's secondary outputs (positive and negative) were alternatly made open and closed circuits, i.e. positive closed circuit & neagtive open circuit, then negative closed circuit & positive open circuit...

What would be the effect of the output?

Would it be changed?

 

How would that be different from the action of rectifier diodes in a full wave rectifier?

 

Not sure what you mean by a transformers negative and positive output on the secondary? Unless you are including some diodes there is no negative and positive output.
