Hi, I'm new to these forums, so hopefully this question is right for this part of the forum.
I'm thinking of designing a product that uses a live camera feed for computer/machine vision to navigate and avoid obstacles.
My question is where does one find camera modules like those found in phones or webcams (and hopefully the datasheets that go along with them)?.
I must be looking in the wrong place as I can only find slightly dodgy looking websites that sell replacement parts for cameras that sell these modules.
I don't want to use a usb based device as its cumbersome and obviously uses usb to transfer data. I would prefer to be using an embedded communication protocol such as SPI.
I don't mind using SMD mounts so the device does not need to be mounted on a breakout board.
Any help would greatly appreciated.
