I am trying to tackle a new challenge-Designing and building a broadband/Pulse transformer.
My first step is to calculate Webers (Volt-Seconds) so that I can determine core size.
The transformer is going to operate in a frequency range of 20-80kHz.
My first question is, should I calculate the Webers based on the low frequency range (20kHz) so I dont end up selecting a core too small to aviod saturation?
And my second question is....How do I calculat Webers for a coil which has a square wave input?
I have looked all over but everything I find is for AC
