    Hi all,

    Quick question:

    A Sine wave completes one cycle in 25 us. What is the Frequency?
    what is the calculation used here?

    Frequency is the reciprocal of the period.
    Code ( (Unknown Language)):
    1.
    2. f = (Tp)^-1 = 1 / Tp
    3.
    4. 1 / 25e-6 = .04e6 = 40e3 = 40 kHz.

    An alternative method to calculate frequency is to measure the time between two consecutive occurrences of the event (the period) and then compute the frequency f as the reciprocal of this time:

    F=1/T=1/0.000025=40000Hz

    where

    T is the period.
