building a buck converter

    Hi,i am ALAMGIR well never mind, i am trying to build a buck converter output 12volt for charging the battery from permanent magnet alternator above 40 to 60volt input ac.i am using sg3524 but it output only 7volt.would any body please help me

    If your input does not exceed 60V, you could use a LM2576HV.
